In June, 1994, Mr. Cook founded Harmon Cook & Associates to specialize in and serve the needs of the public and legal profession. He is a licensed private detective in the State of Illinois and he is insured.

        Mr. Cook served as president of Cook & Poindexter, Inc. from June 1990 to June 1994. In his capacity as president, Mr. Cook oversaw the daily operations of his business, as well as the investigation and evaluation of numerous claims on behalf of injured individuals.

        Mr. Cook has experience investigating F.E.L.A. claims, grade-crossing accidents, trespass cases, derailments, workers' compensation claims, motor vehicle accidents, asbestos exposure claims, fraud and many other claims. Mr. Cook selected to disolve Cook & Poindexter so that he might secure his detective license and expand the services offered to the public and legal profession.

        Prior to the formation of Cook & Poindexter, Mr. Cook was employed as a District Claims Agent for the Norfolk Southern Corporation. He was responsible for the negotiation and settlement of claims either directly with the claimants or with their attorneys. Mr. Cook also worked directly with attorneys to assist them in preparing cases for trial.

        Mr. Cook's ability to evaluate and prepare cases for trial is made possible through his extensive experience working for the Norfolk & Western Railway Company and the Norfolk Southern Corporation. Mr. Cook began his career with Norfolk Southern as a telegrapher. He was ultimately promoted to yardmaster. Along the way, he became a qualified locomotive engineer and conductor.
